From four data streams to one actionable forecast.
Most procurement teams track weather, USDA reports, freight rates, and spot prices as separate tabs. Helios AI ingests all four, weighs them against each commodity's historical patterns, and delivers a unified supply-risk forecast before your morning review.
Three steps from setup to daily forecast
You tell us which commodities you buy
Select from 50+ agricultural commodities. Configure your geographic sourcing regions and delivery timeline. Helios AI maps your procurement footprint to the signal sources that matter most for each item.
Helios blends four signals into one forecast
Every commodity gets a fresh model run each day. Weather anomalies, USDA crop progress, freight index shifts, and historical price seasonality are weighted and reconciled into a single supply-risk score with a 30-day price direction forecast.
You receive your daily forecast report
Each morning your team receives a digest of supply-risk scores and price-direction bands for your tracked commodities. Pull the same data via API into your procurement system for automated trigger rules and alerts.
The four-signal methodology
Commodity prices respond to a set of recurring drivers. Weather affects yields. Yield projections affect carry levels. Freight costs affect landed price. Historical price patterns establish seasonal baselines. No single source tells the whole story, but together they do.
Helios AI treats each signal as an independent model input. We run commodity-specific weighting based on which signals have historically driven price variance for that crop or product. The result is a blended probability distribution rather than a point forecast, giving your team a calibrated range rather than a false-precision number.

Weather Patterns
NOAA and ECMWF gridded data for primary growing regions. Precipitation anomalies, temperature deviations, and drought index trajectories are scored daily against 30-year historical baselines.
-
Crop Yield Projections
USDA WASDE monthly reports, weekly crop progress releases, and satellite-derived NDVI indices for key producing regions. Yield revisions from the prior month's WASDE carry the highest single-source weight.
-
Freight Indices
Baltic Dry Index components, container spot rate benchmarks, and port congestion data from major export terminals. Freight divergence from historical norms is a reliable 6-10 week leading indicator of supply-side price pressure.
-
Spot Price History
Cash and nearby futures prices for 50+ commodities with seasonality decomposition. Historical patterns identify where current prices sit relative to typical seasonal ranges, anchoring the forecast band.
What a forecast looks like
Each commodity you track gets a card like this in your daily digest, updated every morning before market open.
